Getting to Cómpeta

Cómpeta is situated in La Axarquía in the province of Málaga.

The distance to Málaga city is about 54 km to the airport of Málaga 70 km and to Granada 120 km.

Coming from the airport or Málaga city take the exit 948: Algarrobo / Caleta de Vélez and go up into the mountains by the A-7206, passing through Algarrobo and Sayalonga villages.

When you reach the entrance to the village there is a bronze monument with a donkey on your left, follow the signs indicating "centro" or "oficina de turismo" to arrive to the main car park.

Coming from the direction of Nerja you can take exit 940 Torrox / Cómpeta and go up the mountain road A-7207 for 15 km to Cómpeta. As you are approching, the village will be on your right. Continue down the road
until you come to a bronze monument with a donkey and take a right at the stop sign there. Follow the signs indicating "centro" or "oficina de turismo" to arrive to the main car park.

From the bus station in Málaga there are 3 buses a day to Cómpeta (no Sunday service). Please ask for an up to date timetable.
